Subject: Fraud Detection Now Available Systemwide Through CollegeBuys Agreement
Colleagues-
As part of the ongoing effort to safeguard the integrity of enrollment, registration, and financial aid processes in the California Community Colleges (CCCs), the Foundation for California Community Colleges’ CollegeBuys program is pleased to announce the systemwide availability of LightLeap.AI, an advanced fraud detection solution, through an amendment with N2N Services. LightLeap.AI provides districts with AI-powered fraud detection across applications, course registrations, and financial aid processes—and can be quickly deployed with minimal burden on local resources.
Symbolic of the immense progress possible through systemwide collaboration, CollegeBuys has partnered with the Chancellor’s Office-launched Digital Center for Innovation, Transformation and Equity to expand access to the LightLeap.AI platform—currently deployed in 40 districts—to colleges of all sizes and resource levels.
Effective July 1, 2025, Chancellor's Office funding will cover the majority of subscription fees as part of a broader, systemwide effort to eliminate fraud. To participate, districts will contribute only $3,000 per college under a shared responsibility model. For districts currently using LightLeap.AI, N2N Services will assist with transitioning to the new model beginning in the 2025–26 fiscal year.
Implementation is fast and efficient—no additional hardware or dedicated IT staffing is required, and most colleges can be fully deployed within one to two weeks. Colleges may begin onboarding now by contacting onboarding@n2nservices.com.
This agreement represents a bold, systemwide commitment to equity, student access, and operational integrity. By proactively blocking fraudulent applications and reclaiming limited course seats and financial aid dollars, the CCC system is reinforcing its mission to serve real students—ensuring every opportunity goes to those who truly need and deserve it.
For specific contract or implementation inquiries, please contact CollegeBuys at cbcontracts@foundationccc.org or N2N Services at onboarding@n2nservices.com.
Sincerely,
JC
